As a result of their
energy-efficiency improvements,
they’ve significantly reduced their
utility bills. “Our highest month is less
than our previous average,” Laura says.

phones, then turn off the power with
the flick of one switch. “Now all of
these gadgets have a home

it’s
cutting our utility bills,” Laura says.
COMFORT
The Stukels addressed their
home’s air quality by using nontoxic
cabinets and paint, having ducts
professionally cleaned, and installing a
humidity-sensing bath fan. Now Laura
and Ray feel better about the air their
children breathe and have noticed an
improvement in Kate’s eczema.
